“ Walked in to place a togo order. The staff was attentive. Asked me if I wanted the lunch or dinner ACP portion. Thought that was very nice. Placed my order and it didn’t take long at all. As you can see by the photos it was a lot of food and it didn’t disappoint. ”

“ First time at San Luis I. This place is nice and cozy but not as upscale as San Luis II. They brought me a huge basket of chips and some tasty salsa. I was also asked if I wanted spicy salsa which was served in 2 bowls with a spoon. The red was very spicy and the green tomatillo salsa was very tasty. I ordered the Carne asada served with beans and rice. There was also a grilled green pepper(mild) and a grilled onion bulb, avocado salad, pico and an orange wedge. The sweet tea was very good. They also gave me a choice of corn or flour tortillas. There was no way to finish off this food. My dining time was early evening and they would have allowed me to order lunch which is extraordinary. There were many college students there who probably did order the lower priced lunch offerings. ”

“ Ah yes, the authentic ‘Dinner and a Public Disturbance’ experience. The restaurant itself? Pretty standard Mexican place — banners, TVs, decent food, portions large enough to feed a small village, and music playing in the background. So far, so good. Unfortunately, the real entertainment came courtesy of a table of 4–5 extremely enthusiastic local patrons who apparently mistook the restaurant for their personal living room, sports bar, and speakerphone convention all rolled into one. Yelling, hollering, full-volume conversations, and a speakerphone performance so immersive everyone nearby got to participate whether they wanted to or not. To be fair, I mentioned it to the staff, who were polite and did make an attempt to calm things down. When that didn’t work, the solution appeared to be: turn the music up and hope for the best — sort of an audio arms race between mariachi and mayhem. Meanwhile, customers were visibly leaving, but the table kept getting served, which I suppose makes sense if the business model is ‘whoever spends more and / or is loudest wins.’ Food was decent. Atmosphere? Depends on whether you enjoy dinner with a side of involuntary chaos.” ”

“ ¡Delicioso! Food great, service good and special birthday treatment was perfecto! Atmosphere scored because with great inexpensive food, well priced beer and authentic cultural atmosphere there was a mouthy intoxicated man that was excessively flirty with our server and delaying her. ”

“ The food was good. So says my son. I did not consume anything other thank the tortilla chips with lemon water. The server (Madley) could have being a little friendlier because she never smiled at us once. I could say my sons enjoyed his food so that was a plus for the establishment. ”
